Idan Arad, 23, from Beit Aryeh, currently lives in Tel Aviv.
Idan served as a commander in the Israeli military, in the Armored Corps division. While deployed primarily in the southern desert region, Idan began to develop a love of photography, eventually turning it into a full-time profession upon his discharge. Idan joined the pilot delegation of Afrikan and given his extensive talent, was responsible for the delegation’s photography, media, and advertising. Through Idan’s work and professional contacts, key Israeli media outlets ran stories on the Malindi project. Idan’s photographic documentation of both the Malindi volunteer work and the Tanzanian landscapes provide a stunning visual account of the delegation’s entire trip.


עידן ארד בן 23, מבית אריה, כיום מתגורר בתל אביב.
שירת כמפקד בקבע בחיל השריון, התחיל כבר בשירותו הצבאי לצלם טבע עד שהפך את התחביב למשרה מלאה. עידן הצטרף למשלחת לפני היציאה מהארץ והיה אחראי על הצילום, מדיה ופרסום – בזה מתעסק גם בחייו המקצועיים. בזכות כישרונו של עידן כבר במהלך השהות במלינדי התראיין בתוכניתו של רפי רשף כנציג המשלחת. במהלך המשלחת עידן דאג לגלות את הנקודות היפות ביותר באזור מלינדי וכמובן לתעד אותן - במיוחד במהלך הנסיעות שלו עם רפי, למוקד העבודה של פרויקט הנחת צינור המים לכפר, אותו ניהלו יחד.
